Stay warm, stay comfortable, and take on the cold with the Venustas Men’s Heated Lightweight Puffer Jacket 7.4V.
Over the past several months, my wife and I had the opportunity to test the Venustas Heated Jacket and Vest in all kinds of winter weather. From cold, blustery days in December to freezing temperatures in January, both performed well and provided much-needed warmth. However, my testing revealed some key findings—both positive and areas for improvement.
The Venustas Heated Jacket did an excellent job keeping me warm, even on the coldest winter days. It's six heating zones—collar, left and right shoulders, left and right hand pockets, and mid-back—provided more coverage than other heated jackets I’ve tested. The heated collar was particularly useful when I didn’t wear a scarf, adding extra warmth around my neck.
Both the jacket and vest feature three heat settings: low, medium, and high. The medium setting was ideal for temperatures between 30 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit, while the high setting was necessary for anything below freezing.
One standout feature was the pocket lining—a simple yet effective addition that kept my hands warm when I forgot my gloves or left them in the car.
While the heated apparel provided reliable warmth, I did encounter connectivity issues with the battery. At times, the battery would power on the jacket but suddenly turn off, which was frustrating. However, even without the heating function activated, the jacket’s FELLEX insulation did a great job of retaining warmth.
Battery life was generally good. I charged the battery before use, and after several days of wear, it needed to be recharged. Charging took a few hours, which is expected for heated apparel.
One downside was the battery’s size and weight. While it was smaller than other batteries I’ve tested in heated jackets, it still felt bulky and heavy. That said, it was well-concealed within the jacket, and from the outside, you couldn’t tell it was battery-powered.

The design and material quality of the jacket and vest were impressive. The jacket had a sleek look and the vest had, and despite housing heating elements and a battery pack, it didn’t appear bulky or awkward. The YKK zippers were smooth and durable, and the water-resistant shell ensured that light rain and snow didn’t seep through.
The jacket's button indicated heating levels, changing colors to signal whether the temperature was low, medium, or high. This was a convenient way to gauge the heat level at a glance.

The vest was just as well-made as the jacket and served a great purpose indoors or for quick trips outside when a full jacket wasn’t necessary. It was comfortable and warm, ideal for days when I didn’t want to wear a coat but needed an extra layer.
Overall, I would recommend the Venustas Men’s Heated Apparel, especially the Lightweight Puffer Jacket, for anyone living in cold-weather zones. The jacket was a lifesaver while watching outdoor football games in the winter, and the vest proved to be an excellent indoor option or a quick grab-and-go layer for milder cold days.
While the battery connectivity issue was a drawback, Venustas's effective insulation, multiple heating zones, and high-quality design make It a solid choice for those who want to stay warm and comfortable in the winter.
As technology continues to evolve, it’s exciting to see how innovations in connected apparel, like Venustas Heated Jackets and Vests, redefine how we stay warm in cold weather. While heated apparel may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about wearables, it’s clear that these garments offer both practicality and convenience for those who spend time outdoors or in chilly environments.
Despite minor battery connectivity issues, the Venustas Men’s Heated Lightweight Puffer Jacket and Heated Vest proved reliable, well-designed, and effective in keeping us warm throughout the winter. Their six-zone heating coverage, lightweight insulation, and water-resistant materials make them excellent choices for outdoor enthusiasts, commuters, and anyone looking for an extra layer of warmth.
Venustas heated apparel is a worthwhile investment for those living in cold-weather climates, offering a perfect blend of functionality, durability, and comfort.
