Renders based on leaked information show up to four rear cameras for the new Samsung flagship
With the new iPhone 12 just days away from shipping, renders claimed to be based on leaked information about its biggest rival for 2021 have emerged online.
The renders show what the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra are claimed to look like, and come with an additional claim that they could launch as early as January. Samsung normally announces its Galaxy S phone around March, as it did with this year's Galaxy S20.

Coming from Steve Hemmerstoffer, the renders show a pair of smartphones with rear camera systems unlike anything we have seen before. The Galaxy S21 (which might instead be called the Galaxy S30), has three rear cameras arranged vertically inside a bump that spills over the top and side edges of the phone, with a flash sitting off to the side.

The renders also show a centrally-positioned, hole-punch front camera. Hemmerstoffer claims the Galaxy S21 measures roughly 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mmm and that the camera bump adds approximately 1.1mm to that thickness. He also says the January launch event will see the arrival of the regular Galaxy S21, plus a larger Galaxy S21 Plus and range-topping Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Speaking of the Ultra, Hemmerstoffer followed up his S21 post with renders claiming to be based on information about the S21 Ultra. This phone reportedly has an even larger rear camera bump housing no fewer than four lenses and a flash. Three of the lenses are arranged vertically, with a fourth sat to the side of the middle lens, with the flash above it.
This camera bump appears to be larger in every direction than that of the S21, and also wraps around the sides of the phone. A central hole-punch camera sits on the front of the phone.
And now comes your very first and exclusive look at the #Samsung #GalaxyS21Ultra (or #GalaxyS30Ultra?)!

The exact purpose of each lens isn't yet known, but rumors claim the S21 Ultra might have two telephoto or periscope lenses.
Hemmerstoffer says the S21 Ultra will measure approximately 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm, and that the huge camera bump will add 1.9mm to the thickness. The Ultra is rumored to have a screen measuring somewhere between 6.7 and 6.9 inches, potentially making it 0.2 inches larger than the new iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Although these renders might not exactly mirror the final design of the Galaxy S21 family, one thing is for sure: Smartphone makers aren; shying away from fitting their handsets will ever-larger and more elaborate camera systems, often at the expense of smart design.
