How to set up your Yeedi C12 Pro Plus Robot Vacuum and Self-Emptying Station

Getting up and running with your new Yeedi C12 Pro Plus is quite simple and it will take only minutes to start cleaning your floors. I put together this step-by-step guide on how to set up your Yeedi C12 Pro Plus robot vacuum cleaner and its self-emptying station:

Step 1: Unboxing and Initial Inspection

1. Unbox the Robot Vacuum and Accessories: Carefully unpack the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS robot vacuum and all accessories included in the box.
2. Check Components: Ensure all components are present, including the robot vacuum, Auto-Empty Station, power adapter, side brushes, mopping module, cleaning tool, and user manual.

Step 2: Placing the Auto-Empty Station

1. Choose a Location: Place the Auto-Empty Station on a flat, hard surface near a power outlet. Ensure ample space is around it (at least 1 meter in front and 0.5 meters on both sides).

1. Download the YEEDI App: Download and install the YEEDI app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Create an Account: Open the app and create a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Add the Robot: Follow the on-screen instructions to add the YEEDI C12 PRO PLUS to your app. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

Based on my experience in testing similar robot vacuums like Ecovacs DEEBOT X2 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop, the C12 Pro Plus stands out for its balance of features and affordability. Today, there are a few models with features like 8000Pa suction power, LDS mapping, voice assistant compatibility, and self-emptying stations for under $700. Many cost between $750 to over $1000. So, from my perspective, the YEEDI C12 Pro Plus is a competitively priced option with excellent value for money.

How well did it perform during testing?

After weeks of testing this new robot vacuum from Yeedi, here is what I liked and disliked about the C12 Pro Plus Robot Vacuum and Self-emptying station in a real home.

• Mapping Technology: Utilizes TrueMapping with LDS laser navigation for thorough room mapping. It excellently follows the map, even cleaning under cabinets and hard-to-reach corners.
• Auto Avoidance Technology: Efficiently avoids large objects but struggles with smaller items like towels.
• V-Shaped Roller Brush: The roller brush, with ZeroTangle Technology, works flawlessly, sweeping up dirt with precision.
• Mopping System: The OZMO Pro 2.0 Vibrating Mopping System performs well, staying over stains to clean them effectively, though not as robust as manual mopping.
• Size and Design: The auto-emptying station is compact compared to others with similar features, making it easier to hide.
• Intelligent Self-Parking System: Makes retrieval easy and convenient.
• Advanced Technology: Features a 65W motor for more powerful cleaning, an infrared sensor for obstacle recognition, and reduced charging time from 4 hours to 2.5 hours.
• Mode Selection: Offers quick mode changes with a single button or through the WYBOT app, allowing tailored cleaning preferences.
• App Integration: The app offers customized cleaning modes, cycle timers, and OTA upgrades for a personalized and advanced cleaning experience.

Areas of Underperformance - Here is what is missing from the C12 Pro Plus robot vacuum:

• Auto-Emptying Station: The station only vacuums up dirt and dust, not water. The instructions are not intuitive about this limitation, requiring manual water filling for mopping.
• Missing Features: Lacks auto mop cleaning, warm water mop cleaning, and a hot air dry function for the mopping pad. Users must periodically wash the mopping pad manually.
• Dust Box Capacity: The self-emptying station's dust box is only 1.5 liters with a 45-day capacity, smaller than other models that offer at least 3 liters and 60 days of storage.

Lastly, at the current sale price of $499.99, the Yeedi C12 Pro Plus offers excellent value compared to similar models like the eufy X10 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop ($799.99) or the dreame X30 Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo ($1,699.99), which share similar features in terms of suction power, battery life, mapping technology, and performance.

After weeks of testing, I can say the Yeedi C12 Pro Plus is ideal for those seeking an affordable, easy-to-use robot vacuum with a self-emptying station. It is perfect for cleaning floors and carpets and offers efficient mopping for light stains. While it requires manual setup for mopping and periodic maintenance, its compact design, intelligent navigation, and robust cleaning performance make it suitable for smart homes, AirBnB, dorm rooms, and pet owners.
