Tag Heuer’s latest Connected smartwatch is Super Mario-themed and costs $2,150
Luxury Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has revealed its latest timepiece – a version of its Connected smartwatch with Super Mario branding.
The company teased the arrival of a Mario-themed watch earlier in the week, but didn't say it was in fact a smartwatch and not a mechanical timepiece until revealing the new model today, July 13.

A limited edition model, the watch features a "gamification rewards system", complete with Mario and other members of the Mushroom Kingdom universe playing a part in helping you reach your daily step count.
The watch comes in a special red box with M branding and a pair of black and red straps. The Wear OS operating is much like that of other Tag Heuer smartwatches, but in this case features new Mario watch faces. It also features what the manufacturer describes as "retro elements from the 1985 version of Super Mario Bros."
Like other versions of TAG Heuer Connected, the watch has a heart rate tracker and health and fitness tracking, a touchscreen display, and the ability to deliver calls and notifications via a Bluetooth connection to your smartphone.
The watch is priced at $2,150, making it one of the more expensive members of the Connected range. But unlike its stablemates this watch is a limited edition with Tag Heuer planning to produce just 2,000 examples. These will be available through the company's boutique stores and website from July 15.
