These robots at Seoul Airport will help you find your gate or even a quick bite

Friendly skies LG is putting more of its robot guides inside Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea expanding its beta tests ahead of February's 2018 Winter Olympics. Both Airport Guide Robots and Airport Cleaning Robots will be roaming the passenger areas of the international gateway. LG's Airport Guide Robots is equipped with language translation, able to understand and speak English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

Passengers will be able to scan their boarding passes and get gate details and undated flight information. But that's small time kiosk stuff. More extensive is the robots' ability to also guide people to restaurants, suggesting where to get something to eat before a flight departs, or even a last minute souvenir.

LG announced this new robot line at this year's CES, and has been beta testing the rolling gadgets for a few months. There's a bit of a friendly, WALL-E look to the small human-sized robots — which will make the experience a little less Doctor Who Dalek and a bit more like The Iron Giant as the rolling gadget escorts you to your flight.

VR gunplay Call of Duty fans might have find the VR app, Firepower, worth a trial. The game lets you virtually shoot at objects in your field of view — more as an augmented reality experience than true VR. For $0.99, though, don't expect too much.
