Samsung confirms Galaxy S21 smartphone reveal for January 14
As the technology world prepares for its first online-only CES show, Samsung has confirmed that it will hold a Galaxy Unpacked event right after, on January 14.
Coming a month earlier than normal, the event will see the reveal of the company's latest Galaxy S smartphone family, expected to be called the Galaxy S21.

The teaser video, published to YouTube over the weekend, gives a glimpse at the same rear camera module we have seen on leaked images of the S21 over recent weeks.
The event will take place online and begins at 10am EST on January 14. It can be viewed on Samsung.com, at the company's Newsroom web page, and on YouTube.
Referencing the ongoing pandemic, Samsung said: "Over the past year, mobile technology has taken center stage in everyday life as people are working from and spending time at home. The accelerated transition to a mobile-first world brings with it the need for devices that can transform everyday life into an extraordinary experience."
The S21 has leaked repeatedly over recent weeks. The biggest change from the S20 appears to be a rear camera module, along with S Pen stylus support coming to the range-topping S21 Ultra for the first time. This has suggested Samsung is no longer developing a new version of the Galaxy Note phone.
The lineup is expected to include a regular S21, a larger S21 Plus and the bigger-still S21 Ultra.
It's going to be a busy few days for Samsung, as the company also has a CES press conference at 9am EST on January 11. The company also has a presentation dedicated to its Exynos processors planned for January 12.
