Samsung Galaxy Book Pro vs Galaxy Book Pro 360: What’s the difference?
Samsung this week held yet another one of its Unboxed product launch events, this time with a focus on Windows laptops.
Called the Galaxy Book Pro and the Galaxy Book Pro 360, these laptops don't replace any other model, but instead are additions to Samsung's computer lineup. They both have 13.3-inch displays and run Windows 10 on a selection of Intel processors, but there are a couple of key differences to be aware of.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro vs Galaxy Book Pro 360: Design and dimensions
The biggest difference between these two laptops is how the Galaxy Book Pro 360 has a touchscreen display that rotates 360 degrees so that the laptop can be used as a large tablet, or propped up and drawn on with Samsung's included S-Pen stylus.
Both models are available with screen sizes of 13.3 and 15.6 inches. When closed, the smaller Galaxy Book Pro measures 304.4 x 199.8 x 11.2mm and it weighs 0.87kg. The smaller of the Galaxy Book Pro 360 duo differs only slightly, despite its trick hinge, measuring 302.5 x 202 x 11.2mm, and it weighs a little more at 1.04kg.
The larger 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro measures 355.4 x 225.8 x 11.7mm and weighs in at 1.05kg, while the Galaxy Book Pro 360 with the 15.6-inch display is 354.85 x 227.97 x 22.9mm and weighs 1.39kg.
Samsung Galaxy Book Pro vs Galaxy Book Pro 360: Display
There are very few differences here apart from how the Pro 360's screen rotates through 360 degrees and can be used as a touch screen, whereas the regular Book Pro's cannot. All four models of laptop have the same 1920 x 1080 resolution and all use AMOLED panels, with Samsung calling the 360's touchscreen a 'Super AMOLED' display.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 has more ports and connectivity options than the regular Galaxy Book Pro. Both sizes of the pricier model have one Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 for both screen sizes, while only the 13.3-inch Book Pro 360 includes 5G.
As for the Galaxy Book Pro, both sizes have one Thunderbolt 4 port, one USB-C port instead of two, one USB 3.2 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, but there is no 5G option.
Samsung Galaxy Book Pro vs Galaxy Book Pro 360: Processor, RAM and storage
All four laptops are offered with either an 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, but for both models of Galaxy Book Pro and the larger 15.6-inch Book Pro 360, Samaung is also offering a lesser Intel Core i5 chip. Strangely, the smaller Book Pro 360 can only be bought with the more powerful i7 processor. All four laptops come with Intel Iris X4 graphics for both the i5 and i7 chips.
Samsung fits the smaller and larger Galaxy Book Pro with 8GB and 16GB of RAM respectively, while both sizes of the Book Pro 360 can be bought with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM. In every case the RAM is LPDDR4x.
Storage comes in the form of a 512GB solid state drive (SSD) on all but the larger Galaxy Book Pro 360, which comes with 1TB.

Both sizes of the Galaxy Book Pro are available in Samsung's familiar hues of Mystic Blue and Mystic Silver, while the Galaxy Book Pro 360 is offered in Mystic Navy and Mystic Bronze.
Samsung Galaxy Book Pro vs Galaxy Book Pro 360: Similarities
All four laptops come with Windows 10 Home/Pro and they all feature a 720p HD webcam and dual array microphone, plus AKG speakers capable of Dolby Atmos, a 65W USB-C fast charger and a fingerprint reader on the power key for biometric authentication.

All models of Galaxy Book Pro and Pro 360 are available to pre-order in the US now and will be available from May 14. The Galaxy Book Pro 13.3-inch starts at $999.99 and the larger 15.6-inch model starts at $1,099.99.
