Movado Makes A Great Looking Smartwatch
Last updated: October 19, 2016
With over 100 patents and countless awards for their modern watches, Movado has now make its way into the hi-tech world of smart and connected watches while still maintaining that Museum® dial appeal and recognizable charm.
The Movado BOLD Motion Smartwatch ($697.00) pairs the sophistication of a Movado with futuristic connective properties. Engineered by HP, the watch connects via Bluetooth technology and works with iOS and Android devices. Users are alerted to texts, emails, social media posts and updates, plus incoming calls with a light vibration to the wrist. You can also set your watch to track daily steps, helping you manage and set fitness goals.
Looks-wise, the Movado BOLD Motion Smartwatch is clearly a Movado design — the clean line, minimalist look to the piece is maintained in this modern re-interpretation. The watch is distinctly analog — the hour, minute and second hand are still in place, albeit ringed with blue or white LED lights.
Water resistant, the watch comes with a black silicone strap, stainless steel case and buckle, crystal face, and black dial with quartz movement and teal LED indicators. The case measures 43.5mm in diameter and is available for men and women, plus the device also comes with a charger.
Movado also offers two additional smartwatches, the Bellina Motion collection, which starts at $1,495 and the Museum Smart Motion, mid-priced at $995, with the Movado Bold Motion at the lower-end of the product line. Still, all continue the Movado timelessness and composition. Even with the modern upgrade, the Swiss continue to design a watch that stands the test of time.
