Google teases the Pixel 2 launch for October 4
Pixel 2 Google is hinting the unveiling of its next smartphone, the Pixel 2, on October 4th through both a web site and a new advertising campaign. The site teasingly asks, "Thinking about changing phones?" Then a card comes up telling people to stay tuned for October 4th, prompting people to enter their email address.
Google launched its first Pixel phone on Oct. 4th, 2016 — exactly a year from when the company will purportedly unveil its new Android device. The device, which has yet to be officially named, is said to be using a Snapdragon 835 processor, with 4GB of RAM and a display that will always be lit and on, says TechCrunch.
Two devices are expected to launch, a Pixel 2 and a Pixel 2 XL — HTC will be behind the Pixel 2 and LG will push out the Pixel 2 XL — and there's reportedly going to be a side button that you'll squeeze to bring up Google Assistant, says Ars Technica.
What else should Android users expect? Google's advertisement is a Google search for questions including:
"What's wrong with my phone's battery?"
"Why is my phone always out of storage?"
"Why does my phone take so many blurry photos?"
"Why doesn't my phone understand me?"
Presumably, Google's going to answer these questions. You just have to wait until Oct. 4th.
