CES 2020 officially started Tuesday, January 7, 2019, and it's already going strong with news from every tech brand you can imagine from Google to LG, Lenovo to Bosch and ADT. Whether you're in the market for a new TV, hoping to kit out your smart home, eager to hear how autonomous cars will shift in 2020 or super into virtual reality, CES 2020 is shaping up to be one big technology play house — and we're there to feed you every fun detail.

We've already played with robots, headphones, smart speakers, new lights for your home and more. We're updating our discoveries daily so you don't have to miss anything, even if you can't make it Vegas yourself.

So let's get started, with everything that's happening at the world's biggest tech show so far in 2020.

Day Four: Wednesday, January 8, 2019

Today's our favorite day of the show, when we hand out the awards for GearBrain's Best of CES 2020, the top tech we've seen all week — and we promise you won't be disappointed to learn about the gadgets, from an amazing TV to a gorgeous bed, that you'll want to keep your eye on this year.

We finally got up close with the craft ice maker LG is offering in its latest smart refrigerator, checked out curved screens from Royole and how they could change your mind about fashion, and talked with Ubitech about a new robot set, the Jimu Pro Mars Expedition Kit, which is coming later this year, and we will build (as we always do) to give you our thoughts before the holidays.

Omron brought its ping-pong playing robot back — and trust, us, you can't beat this machine — and we chatted with E-Shock, a company ready to sell its self-driving cars, perfect for the golf course, which can be yours with a four-month lead time and about €100,000. They can handle making about 100 this year, so if you're in need, make sure you ping them, and very (very) soon.

Day Three: Tuesday, January 7, 2019

CES 2020 officially opened today, with both the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Sands Convention Center a hub of activity filled with tech inventors hoping to get noticed. Even the big brands had something to show off, including Google with an incredibly easy way to now delete the last thing said to its voice assistant.

We also finally got on to the show floor. There were OLED TVs that curled and undulated with extraordinary clarity from LG, and we saw a new Bluetooth tracker from Chipolo One that costs $25 and doesn't have a subscription fee. And Faraday Future finally showed us their almost-done EV.

LG debuted a number of new smart kitchen devicesGearBrain

We're starting the morning with a ton of news. Here's the highlights of what we've seen so far — and CES 2020 hasn't even officially opened.

LG is debuting a new smart kitchen, finally hitting the pain points real cooks have at home. InstaView, that cool feature that lets you see inside an appliance, is coming to your oven, and LG is delivering a new craft ice maker that makes 25 spheres at once.

ADT has launched its new DIY service — Blue by ADT — which will piggyback on LifeShield. All existing LifeShield products are folded into the new service, but there are new products now launching too.

We also got to test drive with some new connected car technology, spoke with Bosch about its A.I. driver monitoring system, and took a look a new smart speakers from Belkin and also JBL. Plus Lenovo debuted a new smart frame, a rotating screen that can display your photos, but also has the flat matte look of a painting, perfect for tapping into hundreds of files of art work that comes with the app.

Day One: Sunday, January 5, 2019

Today was all about getting a sneak peak at what we'll see on the show floors at CES 2020. Of course we saw robots, and learned about new products that will help those growing older stay at home longer. We heard from Tile, which is going to help us find our HP laptops should they disappear, plus wearable companies showed off the devices you'll use this year including Withings, with its new ScanWatch — able to help detect heart arrhythmia as well as sleep apnea, and Muse also updated its meditation device.

We're fascinated with the new (very affordable) Ambassador translator from Waverly Labs, and also this new smart thermometer from Yummly and Whirlpool which will make cooking your week night dinners a little less stressful.

Samsung had TVs of every size available at CES 2020GearBrain

One the smart home front there are myriad products coming to connect how you operate your living space. Samsung wowed us with new TVs for our home. Okay, we'll come clean — we haven't touched down on the Las Vegas Strip quite yet. But that doesn't mean we haven't been furiously covering the news already breaking about what's happening at CES.
